Main responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and automated manufacturing equipment to reduce downtime.
  • Build or modify control panels and wire instrumentation and motor controls to engineering and safety specifications.
  • Calibrate and repair electronic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems; use schematics and P&IDs for troubleshooting. Support commissioning and upgrades, and document work, control-logic changes, diagrams and calibration data.

Basic qualifications

  • 4+ years of practical industrial automation, controls or instrumentation experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and repair of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and industrial sensors; ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs and technical documentation.
  • Practical control-panel fabrication and wiring skills, with understanding of motor controls, instrumentation wiring, calibration and pneumatic/mechanical integration. Proactive problem solving and commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Working conditions

Full-time work in office and industrial/manufacturing facilities, indoors and outdoors. Work may involve extended exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and temperature extremes while protected by PPE, plus climbing, standing, stooping, lifting, precise hand movements or typing. Safe performance of essential functions and regular, punctual attendance are listed subject to ADA, FMLA and applicable standards.
