Main responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair solar-panel, inverter and battery-storage electrical systems; perform routine maintenance and inspections.
- Install, test and commission equipment using specialist electrical and diagnostic tools.
- Manage field projects and oversee contractors/third-party work; create and implement standard work instructions, respond to daily service requests and collaborate with operations on improvements.
Qualifications
- Required in the introduction: Electrical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance expertise for solar and battery-storage systems. Technical skill, quality focus, multitasking, team collaboration and leadership are also stated.
- Desired (official heading): At least 2 years of electrical troubleshooting and repair; solar or battery-storage experience is preferred.
- Desired (official heading): A state-appropriate Journeyman or Master Electrician license and relevant certifications; examples include NABCEP, OSHA 10/30 and NFPA 70E.

Working conditions
Full-time, with frequent travel including weekly field trips. Outdoor work may involve weather, hazardous materials, loud noise and extreme temperatures. Duties include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lb and carrying weight on stairs, specialized electrical tools and clear telephone communication. Safe performance and punctual attendance are stated subject to ADA, FMLA and applicable standards. Weekends, nights or on-call work are required as a regular part of the role.
